If you're yearning for some fun and relaxation in the great outdoors, then you couldn't possibly choose a better location than Switzerland's incredible village of Scuol. Its gorgeous mountain setting provides the perfect backdrop for some of the world's best skiing and hiking adventures, and a visit to the Bogn Engiadina makes your entire experience just that much better. This world-class spa centers its services around the area's natural thermal springs, and there are many excellent ways to thoroughly enjoy this unique spa experience during your stay in Scuol.
About the Thermal Springs
A prime example of nature at its finest, Scuol's thermal springs are a natural product of the area's geological makeup. Naturally occurring hot gas warms the ground water to a comfortable 77 degrees as it travels through the rock, and the result is a deliciously warm mineral bath.
Spa Offerings
The Bogn Engiadina has been delighting locals and visitors alike with its many spa treatments since 1993, and you'll enjoy the thermal springs whether you're looking to warm up after a long day in the great outdoors, relax and soothe those aching muscles or have your heart set on a full bathing ritual that concentrates on overall wellness. The Bogn Engiadina boasts six exquisite pools that are located both indoors and outdoors, and these include such amenities as waterfalls, refreshing bubbles and relaxing massage jets. There's also a brine pool, a fabulous lazy river, a sauna area, a special indoor relaxation room with a roaring log fire and a spacious sunbathing space. These are just a few of the spa's most popular options.
Roman-Irish Bath
Perfect for couples, this amazing spa treatment is open to only two people at a time for a private 3.5-hour experience that you'll never forget. This combines the best of the ancient bathing traditions of both the Roman and the Irish cultures, and it's designed to leave you feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. The moist steam works to improve respiration, and this treatment also strengthens your immune system, increases circulation and naturally removes impurities from your body. You'll be provided with a delicious tea and plenty of natural creams and lotions following your treatment, and the experience winds down with some time spent enjoying the mountain views from the cozy relaxation room. Be aware that this treatment takes place in a nude area, and participants must be at least 16 years of age.
Sauna Treatments
While you may choose to simply sit back and enjoy the view of the mountains and the exquisite heat in the steam room, the sauna area offers much more to choose from. There's also a popular infusion sauna, a ladies-only sauna, the warm-bath sauna, the special chimney room, the invigorating ice fountain, the shower grotto, the cold water pool, the waterfall wall and the plunge pool. Whatever you choose, you're in for a special sauna experience that can't be found at a typical spa.
A sauna master is available to manage the distribution of heat and tend to your every need, and more than 20 specialized infusions are available. These use natural pure essential oils that address a wide variety of mind and body concerns. Following your sauna treatment, you'll be offered a taste of several different mineral waters while you relax and enjoy the lovely area views. The entire sauna complex is a designated nude area for those age 16 and over. Families traveling with younger children may make reservations for a more family friendly visit.

You may choose to try one of these treatments on its own or combine it with another spa activity. These are just a few of the most popular treatment options that are available on a regular basis.
