Spain's gorgeous island of Menorca has so much to offer, and you really should take advantage of the opportunity to explore the entire island during your visit. There's much to see and enjoy, and half the fun is in the way that you choose to discover all of Menorca's wonderful secrets. These are just a few of the self-guided and guided tours that are considered among the best, and those lodging with us here at Exceptional Stays may count on our dedicated concierge team to have the arrangements made for your preferred tours before your arrival.
Scooter Rentals
While guided tours are an excellent way to be sure of seeing everything that Menorca has to offer, those with a fiercely adventurous spirit may prefer to explore the island in their own way and at their own pace. You can discover Menorca with complete freedom when you choose to rent a scooter from the trusted company of Cooltra, and you may reserve a scooter for a single day or up to seven full days at a time. The scooters are of excellent quality, and you may choose to ride alone or with a passenger. Helmets are provided.
The team at Cooltra is very helpful, will provide you with a good map and give you great hints and tips about places to go that aren't on the map as well. You may just want to scoot on over to your favorite beach and stay as long as you like, or you could explore all of Menorca from one side of the island to the other. These are just a few places that you might like to visit on your self-guided scooter tour.

Jeep Safari
This activity is available through Excursiones Menorca, which has been offering an awesome selection of Menorca tours since 2006 and serves around 40,000 visitors each year. Nature enthusiasts are sure to adore this full-day guided tour that offers a fun jeep ride into the stunningly beautiful Algendar Gorge. Surrounded by stone walls as tall as 262 feet, this is the most unique and important gorge in Menorca because it houses plant and animal life that is found nowhere else on the island.
You'll see the many year-round streams of water that encourage the growth of laurel and elm trees, canes, boga, watercress and brilliantly colored flowers. Small animals on the ground bring birds of prey to the area, so peregrine falcons, barn owls, sparrow hawks, goshawks and kestrel are present. Other wildlife includes turtles and frogs, and eels are plentiful in the stream. There are also two caves in the gorge walls. This tour takes you to the Santa Ponsa quarry, the lighthouse and the lovely Cavalleria Beach for a swim as well. Children must be at least age 6 to participate in this tour.
Island Tour
Another great full-day tour offered by Excursiones Menorca, this tour begins in the historical center of Ciutadella. After plenty of time for sightseeing and shopping, you'll enjoy the spectacular view of the harbor entrance from the Sant Nicolau's Tower. Next is a visit to Fornells, which is a traditional fishing village with a reputation for some of the best food on the entire island.
You'll have a chance to explore the village and enjoy an incredible lunch before heading up Monte Toro, which is Menorca's highest point at over 1,100 feet. You'll enjoy the magnificent views and visit the Verge del Toro sanctuary. The last stop of this tour is a delicious one with a visit to Subaida, a cheese farm that offers exceptional tastings of its many products.
Quad Tour
An exciting way to get around the island, this guided, three-hour quad tour is offered by Sunbonoo. You'll discover the beauty of the southern portion of the island beginning at Cap Artrutx near Ciutadella. Your travels will take you through Cala Santandria with stops at Galdana, Mitjaneta and Mitjan. This tour includes a 10-minute walk to the Cave of It Tailaier for a bit of exploration. You'll be provided with top-notch equipment, and each quad may accommodate up to two people. The driver must have a valid driver's license. Tours are available during both the mornings and the afternoons.
Check the Weather
Most all of these tours are available all year long, and it's important to dress comfortably for the weather conditions. Each tour places you outside for several hours, so you'll definitely want to bring along sunscreen as well as a light raincoat in case of showers and a cozy jacket if you're venturing out during Menorca's cooler times of the year.
