The Ancient Mayan Route
You'll journey back in time on this 6-hour canal tour that includes all of the Sian Kaan's most scenic locations found along this ancient waterway. Tour participants, up to six individuals allowed, will have the opportunity to thoroughly explore the Sian Kaan along with its natural beauty and cultural heritage with the help of a knowledgeable bilingual tour guide. Many of the day's activities may be enjoyed from the comfort of a shaded boat with cushioned seating.

This tour includes plenty of purified water, tea and juices as well as a traditional Mayan or local lunch, fresh fruits and snacks and all entry fees. Alcoholic drinks are not included but are available, and any gratuity that you feel is deserved may be offered at the end of your day's activities. Tour participants are encouraged to dress in lightweight long pants and long-sleeved shirts and bring along towels, biodegradable insect repellent, swimsuits, swim shoes, sunglasses, sun hats, binoculars and a camera.
Sian Kaan Reef Snorkel and Mayan Canal
This tour option gives you more time to devote to snorkeling in the warm waters of the Mesoamerican Reef where you may encounter more than 500 species of fish, marine turtles and dolphins. This is followed by a time of rest on a pristine beach, a boat trip in the canal along the mangrove channel and into the Boca Paila lagoon, a visit to the Xhlapak Mayan ruin and a float in the Mayan canal. No more than six people per tour are allowed, and this tour option includes the same amenities as the above tour.
Sian Kaan Nature Encounter
This is a wonderful 6-hour canal tour suitable for up to six people with an emphasis on fully enjoying nature, and participants may expect to see crocodiles sunning on the shore, manatees surfacing for a breath of fresh air, migratory birds, exotic butterflies, tropical birds, beautiful native orchids and all manner of flora and fauna. Your boat tour will take you along the mangrove canals and into two separate lagoons, and this tour option includes the same amenities as the first tour listed in this article.
